Assam to develop Rs. 84 crore riverine lighthouses

Four riverine lighthouses will be developed along the Brahmaputra at a cost of Rs. 84 crore. The solar-powered facilities will support 24×7 inland navigation and improve cargo and passenger movement along National Waterway-2, strengthening water transport infrastructure.
