Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line Nears Partial Launch
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL)
The 19.15-km Yellow Line of Bengaluru Metro, connecting RV Road to Bommasandra via Electronics City, is nearing partial launch after receiving Railway Board approval for rolling stock. Despite infrastructure readiness, delays in train set deliveries—initially from Chinese supplier CRRC—slowed progress. To overcome setbacks, BMRCL partnered with Titagarh Rail Systems. With a third train set due and CMRS inspection upcoming, limited operations are expected to commence soon.
