Bihta Integrated Civil Enclave project

Airports Authority of India (AAI)

The Bihta Integrated Civil Enclave is a brownfield expansion at the Bihta Air Force Base, designed to handle an initial 50 lakh passengers annually. As of May 2026, construction has intensified on the apron and taxiway infrastructure, with the 108-acre boundary wall now complete; however, concerns have surfaced regarding the pace of the 66,000 sq. m terminal building—a Nalanda-inspired structure featuring 10 parking bays for large jets like the Boeing 777. The first commercial operations is targeted by April 2027.
