Bilaspur-Manali-Leh Railway Line Survey and DPR Completed

The survey for the ambitious Bilaspur-Manali-Leh railway line spanning 498 km has been concluded, alongside the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR). The proposed route will traverse key locations in Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, commencing from Bari in Bilaspur and extending through Sundernagar, Mandi, Manali, Sissu, Darcha, Keylong, Sarchu, Pang, Rumtse, Upshi, Kharu, before reaching its terminus at Leh. Envisioned as one of the world’s highest railway tracks, the line will boast 62 tunnels and accommodate 40 railway stations. The estimated project cost stands at approximately Rs 99,201 crore.
