Centre Launches Sixth Tranche of Critical Mineral Block Auctions

The Union Ministry of Coal and Mines has launched the sixth tranche of auction for 23 blocks, including 19 composite licences and four mining leases, across Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Telangana, and West Bengal. The resources include lithium, rare earth elements, cobalt, tin, graphite, and potash. Tender sales begin 23 September 2025, with bids due by 1 December 2025. This tranche follows five earlier rounds, where 34 of 55 blocks were successfully auctioned.
