Construction Commences for Underground Victoria Station on Joka-Esplanade Metro Corridor

The construction of Victoria station, a pivotal component of the Joka-Esplanade metro corridor, has been initiated, with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) spearheading the project. While the Joka–Majerhat stretch of the corridor is operational, efforts are underway to complete the Mominpur to Esplanade stretch. Initial phases involve the erection of diaphragm walls (D-walls) followed by the construction of station slabs using the Cut and Cover Top-Down Method. Machinery deployment at the Victoria station site signifies progress in this endeavor.
