Construction Commences for Victoria Metro Station on Kolkata’s Purple Line

Kolkata’s metro expansion sees progress with the commencement of construction for the Victoria Metro Station on the Purple Line, which connects Joka to Esplanade. Following the recent Joka-Majerhat stretch opening, focus shifts to the Mominpur to Esplanade section. Larsen & Toubro, awarded the construction contract in July 2023, is currently working on the underground Victoria station, one of four stations planned for this stretch.
