DJB Acquires Land for New STP Near Vasant Kunj

Delhi Jal Board (DJB)

The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has informed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that it has acquired land near Vasant Kunj blocks E-1 and E-2 for the construction of a new sewage treatment plant (STP). This plant is aimed at providing a long-term solution to the issue of sewage entering a local waterbody. DJB confirmed it took over the land from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on December 30, 2024, and has committed to completing payment by March 31, 2025.
