Dwarka water plant to start operations by December 2025
Delhi Jal Board
Delhi Jal Board will commission a new water treatment plant in Dwarka by December 2025. The first phase will deliver 25 MGD, later scaling to 50 MGD, with treated water also reaching Bawana through the Munak canal. Delhi’s current nine treatment plants supply about 1,000 MGD against a demand of 1,250 MGD. To improve efficiency, measures include replacing pipelines, solar panel canal covers, and new plants at Iradat Nagar, Najafgarh, and Chhatarpur.
