Environmental clearance is sought for the expansion of institutional buildings at Chennai Institute of Technology. The project includes the construction of a boys’ hostel (Basement + Ground + 9 floors), a girls’ hostel (Basement + Ground + 9 floors), and academic blocks with varying configurations: Block 1 (Ground + 1 floor), Block 2 (Ground + 1 floor), Block 3 (Ground + 1 floor), Block 4 (Staircase Room), and a new academic block (Basement + Ground + 7 floors). Additional structures include an EB panel room and security room on the ground floor, with a total built-up area of 51,594.65 sq.m.
