Engineers India Limited (EIL) has successfully executed Indias largest underground rock cavern for LPG storage at Mangalore, Karnataka, for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL). The milestone infrastructure project enhances the nations energy security by enabling large-scale and safe storage of liquefied petroleum gas. Designed to international standards, the cavern provides a robust and long-term solution for strategic energy storage while reducing dependence on above-ground facilities and strengthening Indias petroleum infrastructure network.
