Establishment of New Greenfield Steel Plant

Environmental clearance is sought for the establishment of a greenfield steel plant. The plant will comprise DRI kilns for sponge iron production with a capacity of 3,63,000 TPA, induction furnaces with matching LRF & CCM for the production of hot billets, billets, or ingots at 3,46,500 TPA. The rolling mill will produce TMT bars and wire rods (1,65,000 TPA) with 85% hot charging using hot billets and 15% via RHF with producer gas as fuel. Additionally, the plant will have a rolling mill for structural mill production (1,65,000 TPA), with similar hot charging and RHF fuel usage. The facility will also include 2 x 1500 NM3/hr coal gasifiers. The unit is located at Mohbhata village, Baloda Bazar District, Chhattisgarh.
