Four Firms to Start Semiconductor Manufacturing

The Union Ministry of Electronics and IT has announced that Micron, CG Power, Kaynes Technology, and Tata Electronics are scheduled to commence commercial semiconductor manufacturing operations in 2026. Micron, CG Power, and Kaynes Technology have already undertaken pilot production, while Tata Electronics’ Assam facility is planned to begin pilot production by mid-2026. The government has approved 10 semiconductor manufacturing projects with cumulative investments exceeding ?1.60 lakh crore.
