GAIL Signs MoU with Petron Scientech to Explore 500 KTA Bio-Ethylene Plant in India

GAIL (India) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Petron Scientech Inc. to jointly explore the establishment of a 500 Kilotons per Annum (KTA) bio-ethylene plant in India. Petron, known for its expertise in biomass and grain processing biorefineries, produces bio-ethylene, ethanol, bio-chemicals like ethylene oxide, mono ethylene glycol, and methanol, as well as biofuels. The partnership will focus on conducting feasibility studies to assess the technical and financial viability of the bio-ethylene project.
