Icon Steel India has proposed a greenfield project for the manufacturing of 9,00,000 TPA of sponge iron utilizing four 650 TPD DRI kilns, along with the production of 8,00,000 TPA of billets through eight 30-ton induction furnaces. The project also aims to produce 8,80,000 TPA of rolled products, including TMT, via a rolling mill, with 7,80,000 TPA using the direct hot charging method and 1,00,000 TPA through the RHF route. Additionally, the project will generate 75 MW of captive power through WHRB and 25 MW through AFBC, as well as a slag crusher for sand making with a capacity of 1,00,000 TPA.
