Greenko Proposes 1200 MW Pumped Storage Project in Nawada Bihar

Greenko Energies through its SPV Greenko BR 01 OCPSP has proposed development of an off stream closed loop pumped storage project near Ekamba, Parsauni and Tupariya villages in Rajauli subdivision, Nawada district, Bihar. The project has a planned capacity of 1200 MW with 7316 MWh storage and will utilize 0.321 TMC water from the Sakri River with recirculation for 6.097 hours of storage. The development will require around 310.88 hectares of land including 231.41 hectares of forest land and 79.47 hectares of non forest land. The construction timeline is of 3.5 years.
