Himachal plans ?2,400 crore tourism upgrade

The Himachal Pradesh government has unveiled a ?2,400 crore investment plan to enhance the state’s tourism infrastructure. The initiative includes the development of new tourist destinations, the construction of 200 hotels across three- to seven-star categories, and the introduction of water-based activities like cruise and jet ski services at Gobind Sagar Lake. Additionally, Bilaspur will see projects like a 110 kW rooftop solar plant, livelihood centre, and space labs. Dharamshala and Naina Devi Temple will also benefit from upgrades worth ?200 crore and ?100 crore, respectively.
