Hindustan Copper Awards Contract to SWML

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL)

Hindustan Copper has awarded South West Mining (SWML) a contract for reopening and expanding the Rakha Copper Mines in East Singhbhum, Jharkhand. The project includes developing a new underground mine at Chapri and setting up a state-of-the-art concentrator plant. SWML will operate the mine under a 20-year agreement, with a 10-year extension option, enhancing HCL’s copper production and mining capabilities. The Rakha Mine, inactive since 2001, will resume operations after over two decades.
