Hindustan Copper Plans Concentrator Plant in Madhya Pradesh

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) plans to set up a 3 MTPA concentrator plant at Malanjkhand, Madhya Pradesh, as part of its goal to triple ore production capacity to 12.2 MTPA by 2030-31. Construction is slated to begin next year, funded via internal accruals. The new plant will complement the existing 2.5 MTPA unit. State-run Mecon is preparing the tender and design. HCL also plans a similar plant at Rakha mine in Jharkhand to boost processing capacity.
