India Mulls 23-Kilometer Sea Bridge to Connect Dhanushkodi and Talaimannar in Sri Lanka

The Indian government is considering a proposal for a sea bridge connecting Dhanushkodi in India to Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. A feasibility study for this ambitious 23-kilometer bridge is reportedly in the pipeline, following discussions between the two nations during Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s visit to Delhi last July. The initiative aims to establish land access to strategic ports in Trincomalee and Colombo.
