India’s mining and quarrying sector witnesses a remarkable 13.1% increase in mineral production for October 2023, marking consistent growth over the initial seven months of the fiscal year. The Indian Bureau of Mines reports a cumulative 9.4% growth from April to October 2023-24. Key minerals like coal, iron ore, and limestone show notable production levels. While iron ore leads with a 66.8% growth, not all minerals share the positive trend, with phosphorite witnessing a significant decline of 38.6%.
