India’s Renewable Energy Capacity Doubles to 15 GW in April-November

India added 15 GW of renewable energy capacity between April and November this fiscal year, nearly double the 7.54 GW added during the same period last year. This significant growth aligns with the nation’s ambitious target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030. Currently, India’s total installed non-fossil fuel capacity stands at 214 GW, reflecting a 14% year-on-year increase, solidifying its position as a global leader in renewable energy expansion.
