JSMDC issues MDO tender to restart Jharkhand’s Sugia coal mine

The Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation has invited bids to appoint a mine developer-cum-operator for reopening the Sugia Closed Coal Mine in Ramgarh under the PPP model. The selected operator will manage mining, development, and operation activities to restore production and modernise coal-asset utilisation. The initiative supports regional energy-resource availability and enhances Jharkhand’s mining-infrastructure capacity. Bid submissions close on 24 November 2025.
