Kanpur Metro Project Progress
Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC)
UPMRC is on track to roll out both corridors of the Kanpur Metro by 2024-25. The first corridor, from IIT Kanpur to Naubasta, will be operational by November 2024, while the second corridor, from Agriculture University to Barra, will be commissioned by December 2025. Corridor-I, with 14 elevated stations and 7 underground stations, will serve approximately 1.5 lakh commuters daily upon completion. Corridor-II, spanning 8.38 kilometers, is currently under implementation and includes both elevated and underground stations.
