Karnataka Plans New IT City at Bidadi

The Karnataka government has announced plans to establish a new IT City in Bidadi, situated in the Ramanagara district (now Bengaluru South). Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that global investor interest, showcased during the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, supports the project. The initiative will be led by IT Minister Priyank Kharge and KEONICS Chairman Sharath Bache Gowda. The IT City aims to leverage Bengalurus 25-lakh-strong technology workforce. The government is also exploring extending Metro connectivity to Tumakuru under a PPP model.
