Kerala Advances Silver Line Semi-High Speed Rail Project

Kerala government has decided to proceed with the Silver Line Semi-High Speed Rail project, involving the construction of a 529.45-kilometer corridor connecting Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram. Operated at a speed of 200 km per hour, the project, estimated at Rs 63,941 crore, will pass through 11 districts of Kerala. Implemented by Kerala Rail Development Corporation (K-Rail), a joint venture between the Ministry of Railways and Kerala government, the project aims to enhance connectivity and mobility across the state.
