Kerala Pushes for Sabari Rail Line Extension

The Kerala government is pressing the Centre to extend the Angamaly-Erumely-Sabari rail line to Vizhinjam Port, aiming to establish a vital trade corridor across central Kerala. This extension would enhance the port’s utility for state development. Additionally, Kerala has urged the Ministry of Finance to support this project under the interest-free loan scheme for infrastructure growth.
