KIOCL Clears Compliance for Rs. 1,349 Crore Ballari Mining Project

Kudremukh Iron Ore Company (KIOCL) has accepted Karnataka government and CEC conditions to proceed with mining 1,196.17 acres in the Swamimalai block of Ballari district. The company will pay Rs. 1,349.52 crore in penalties and hand over 3,300 acres to the state before approvals. It will also transfer 282.44 acres to the Forest Department and seek clearances for 973.15 acres.
