Land Acquisition for Sabarimala Greenfield International Airport in Kerala

Kerala is accelerating land acquisition for the Sabarimala greenfield international airport project near Erumely. A Special Tehsildar office will be set up locally to manage the process, with 60 staff requested for surveys starting next month. Approximately 1,002 hectares (2,476 acres) across Erumely South and Manimala villages will be acquired, including the 2,263-acre Cheruvally Estate. Detailed surveys for compensation and valuation are underway, with notifications issued and rehabilitation plans prepared as per the LARR Act.
