L&T Secures Contract for 46-km Suburban Rail Corridor 4 in Bengaluru

Rail Infrastructure Development Company-Karnataka (K-RIDE) has awarded Larsen and Toubro a tender for the civil works of Bengaluru’s suburban rail project’s Corridor 4 (Kanaka Line). The 46-km rail line, connecting Heelalige and Rajankunte, comes with a project cost of Rs 1,040 crore. The contract, focusing on design and construction of the elevated line, excludes the construction of the 19 proposed railway stations. The project also entails a double-decker alignment covering Majestic-Devanahalli and Heelalige-Rajankunte lines, along with a segment beneath the Namma Metro line at Benniganahalli.
