Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has revealed a significant development for sports enthusiasts in Dombivli. A dedicated fund of Rs 25 crores has been earmarked for the construction of a state-of-the-art stadium within the premises of Dombivli Gymkhana. With the absence of a well-equipped stadium in Dombivli, sports organizations have often had to travel to Thane or Mumbai for various competitions, including cricket. This move is poised to address this gap and enhance sporting infrastructure within the local community. The construction plan prioritizes essential facilities such as badminton, table tennis, and a jogging track, reflecting a comprehensive approach to cater to diverse sporting needs.
