Marathwada Rail Coach Factory Opens in Latur

The Marathwada Rail Coach Factory in Latur has been inaugurated as a joint venture between a leading Russian rolling stock manufacturer and an Indian PSU. The facility will produce 1,920 modern sleeper coaches for Vande Bharat trains, with the first set expected in two years. Kinet Railway Solutions, the JV entity, has secured a 35-year contract for manufacturing and maintenance, including upgrades to existing government facilities to meet global standards.
