MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Ltd. is proposing an expansion of its existing 2×630 MW thermal power plant by adding 2×800 MW ultra-supercritical coal-based units. The project is located across villages Laharpur, Murra, Guwari, Belia, and Jethari in Jaithari Tehsil, Anuppur District, Madhya Pradesh. Environmental clearance is being sought for this 1,600 MW addition.
