Micron launches Rs. 22,516 crore semiconductor facility in Gujarat

Micron Technology has commissioned a semiconductor assembly and test facility in Sanand, Gujarat, with a total investment of Rs. 22,516 crore. The facility will convert DRAM and NAND wafers into finished products, featuring over 500,000 sq. ft. of cleanroom space in Phase I. Designed to meet LEED Gold and zero liquid discharge standards, the plant began production in February 2026 and will scale to hundreds of millions of chips annually by 2027.
