MIDC Begins Land Acquisition for JSW Steel Plant in Gadchiroli

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has commenced the acquisition of approximately 3,500 acres in Wadsa taluka, Gadchiroli, for JSW Groups proposed ?1 lakh crore integrated steel plant. With a planned capacity of 25 MTPA, this facility will double JSWs current production and exceed SAILs 18 MTPA output. The project is positioned to become one of Indias largest private sector investments in the steel industry. It is also expected to significantly boost industrial activity in the Vidarbha region.
