MMRDA Opens SCLR Extension for Airport Connectivity

MMRDA opens the Santacruz–Chembur Link Road extension, creating a direct, signal-free route from Kurla to Panbai School near the airport. The project includes a 215-metre cable-stayed bridge with a 100-metre horizontal curve, reducing peak-hour travel by 15–20 minutes and easing congestion across east–west corridors. Integrated with Phase II of the SCLR network, it features upgraded junctions, improved drainage, pedestrian facilities, and safeguards for Metro Line 3 tunnels. J. Kumar Infraprojects serves as the project contractor.
