MoEF&CC Grants Approval for Yadadri Thermal Power Plant Construction

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has sanctioned the construction of the Yadadri thermal power plant in the former Nalgonda district. TS Genco’s proposal for a 4,000 MW coal-based supercritical plant at Veerlapalem village, Damercherla mandal, spanning 1,133.14 hectares, has received approval, with an estimated cost of Rs 34,542.95 crore. TS Genco has also developed a 400-acre ash pond on-site and aims for full fly ash utilization within 4 years, with a production target of 3.19 MTPA.
