The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed a full-length timetable trial of the 82-km Namo Bharat corridor between Delhi and Meerut on 22 June 2025. Operating at speeds up to 160 kmph, the train stopped at all stations while maintaining punctuality. The trial also demonstrated shared infrastructure usage with Meerut Metro—an Indian first. The project will boost regional connectivity across Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut, enabling people to work in cities while residing closer to home.
