Nashik Receives State Approval for Rs 237.7 Crore Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade

The Nashik civic body’s Rs 237.7 crore project to upgrade old sewage treatment plants (STPs) receives administrative approval from the state government. Focused on enhancing four STPs in Agar Takli and Tapovan areas under the Amrut scheme’s phase II, the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) gains support with a government resolution issued on January 1. Both state and central contributions will cover 50% of the total funds, with NMC committed to raising the remaining 50% for the project, slated for completion before the 2027 Kumbh Mela.
