New Stormwater Drainage System at Arapalayam Bus Stand

A new stormwater drainage system will be constructed by Madurai corporation at Arapalayam bus stand, Madurai, with an investment of ?22 lakh to address recurring water stagnation issues. The system will connect to the nearby Chintamani channel, enhancing water management and preventing future waterlogging. The project includes installing six manholes for maintenance. Work is expected to begin within two weeks and is targeted for completion before the rainy season.
