Noida Approves Vertical Redevelopment Policy for EWS Housing

Housing Sector News | Project News | Project Update | Project Opportunities

Noida Authority has cleared a redevelopment policy, modeled after Mumbai’s, to replace aging EWS housing blocks with larger, modern flats. Developers will rebuild existing structures and can sell surplus built-up area to recover costs, aided by increased FAR from 1.5 to 3.5. RFPs will be floated for each project, ensuring original residents are rehoused post-construction. The policy also permits co-developers in five stalled projects, potentially aiding 5,000 buyers. Targeted sectors include 27, 93, and 93A, promoting urban densification and housing revival.
