NPSPL Speciality Chemicals is investing Rs 2550 crore to set up a cathode material manufacturing facility in Gudupalle Mandal, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. Spread over 105 acres, the plant will manufacture critical components for lithium ion batteries used in electric vehicles, smartphones and energy storage systems. The project has been approved under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Policy 2025 to 2030 and has secured a customized incentive package including 60 percent capital subsidy and electricity duty exemptions.
