NSPCL Bhilai to Reuse 18 MLD Treated Water for Industrial Use

NSPCL Bhilai, a joint venture of NTPC and SAIL, has signed an MoU with Raipur Municipal Corporation to utilize 18 MLD of treated wastewater from the Chandandih STP for industrial purposes. The project, aimed at reducing freshwater dependency and aiding groundwater recharge, includes NSPCL funding and preparing a DPR for pipeline infrastructure. Aligned with AMRUT and the Groundwater Conservation Mission, the initiative enhances pollution control by diverting treated water from drains and rivers for reuse.
