NTPC’s Lara Thermal Power Plant in Chhattisgarh to Utilize Ultra-Supercritical Technology

NTPC’s upcoming 1,600 MW Lara thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district is set to integrate ultra-supercritical technology, boasting an efficiency of 41.5%, surpassing the current supercritical technology by 1%. The foundation stone was recently laid for stage-II (2×800 Mw) of the project. Notably, stage-II will be constructed on the existing land of stage-I, eliminating the need for additional land acquisition.
