Odisha CM inaugurates 650-bed hospital in Koraput

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated a 650-bed teaching hospital at Shaheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput, Odisha, on August 10, built at a cost of Rs 280 crore. The facility will serve patients from Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, and nearby Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh areas, offering CT scan, dialysis, mammography, and an oxygen plant. A separate cancer hospital has been sanctioned at Rs 41.15 crore, while a six-lane Jeypore–Berhampur–Bhubaneswar economic corridor is planned to improve connectivity.
