Odisha Coastal Link Project to Bridge Chilika Lake

A new 7.740 km highway project in Odisha will create a crucial missing link between NH-316 and NH-516A, connecting Satpada and Janhikuda. This initiative will begin near Satpada on NH-316, passing through villages like Berhampur, Janhikuda, Khairasahi, Patanasi, and Golpur, before concluding on NH-516A in Puri district’s Krushnaprashad Block. The project includes constructing two major bridges over Chilika Lake, totaling 3.340 km. This infrastructure aims to provide direct connectivity to over 50 villages across Ganjam and Puri districts.
