Odisha partners with AAI to develop new Rs. 210 crore Jharsuguda airport

The Odisha government and Airports Authority of India have signed an MoU to develop a full-fledged airport at Jharsuguda in western Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs. 210 crore. The state will provide 296.5 acres of land, including 118.7 acres immediately, and contribute Rs. 75 crore, while AAI will execute construction within two years. The upgraded airport will expand regional air connectivity, reduce dependence on Bhubaneswar airport, and strengthen western Odisha’s transport infrastructure.
