OLS Survey Planned for Six Greenfield Airports in Bihar

Six proposed greenfield airports at Birpur (Supaul), Munger, Valmikinagar (West Champaran), Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, and Bhagalpur will undergo an Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) survey, following approval from the Bihar State Cabinet. The government has allocated ?290.91 crore to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for carrying out the survey, which is essential to map and eliminate potential airspace hazards, thereby ensuring compliance with safety requirements for the planned airport developments.
