Progress Update on Panvel-Karjat Railway Project

The Panvel-Karjat railway project, part of MRVC’s Mumbai Urban Transport Project 3 (MUTP-3), is advancing with the construction of three tunnels. These include Nadhal Tunnel (219m), Wavrely Tunnel (2,625m), and Kirawali Tunnel (320m). Currently, two of these tunnels are nearing completion, with work on the longest tunnel (Wavrely Tunnel) just 200m away from being finished. This project will enhance the suburban corridor and local train services between Panvel and Karjat, improving connectivity in the region.
