Railway Projects Worth ?80,000 Crore Underway in Odisha

Railway projects exceeding ?80,000 crore are currently being executed in Odisha, according to Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna. The state received an allocation of ?10,599 crore in the 2025-26 budget—up from ?838 crore during 2009–14. Additionally, 59 stations are being redeveloped at a cost of ?2,379 crore, and over ?25,000 crore has been sanctioned in the past year alone for eight new railway projects, multitracking, and flyover works.
